Sunday 23rd November

Today we went to watch Nathan play cricket at Katoomba. So before the game we decided to head to the 3 sisters for a bit of the tourist thing. The last time Lyndall was here it was so windy and miserable, typical mountains weather, that we did a quick photo and left. Today was hot, and we had a bit of time before the game so I decided we should walk down to them. So off we go, nice pleasant walk down to the 1st sister and back again. Some photos taken and we are off around the corner for the game.

Nathan plays cricket for Blackheath and today they are playing against Katoomba. He plays in the adult team, and from what I can see gets a lot of respect from the older guys. Nathan’s team batting first. Nathan didn’t get to bat, as the overs ran out before he got out. Nathan is a bowler, so normally bats right down the order. They only got 2 or 3 out and made well over 200 odd runs. Time to swap and Nathan’s team start taking wickets, Nathan managed to get 3 wickets himself which was awesome, scored the most, I can see why he gets the respect from the other players. Anyway game went on and finished at about 6:30, all out for 150 odd, so Nathan’s team won easily. Now the mad rush back to Lithgow as we were meeting Bruce and Patrice for dinner at the work and club, but also had to wait for Nathan to shower and also pick Bruce and Patrice up. We dropped Bruce, Patrice and Nathan off to pick up the other car, and went back to the van park to get dressed, only for Bruce to ring and say, the kitchen closes at 8 we need to order. It was 2 minutes to 8.  I told Bruce to just get us a roast of the day each, by the time the cab picked us up, and we got to the club, dinner was being served. Good timing.

Nice night with them, then we left. Bruce was driving Nathan back to Mt Victoria for us.
