A Date with Clarence.

So this weekend we set off for south of the border. October long weekend so set off friday and come home monday. After hitting a bit of traffic on the Pacific highway we head inland towards Lismore. Our stop for lunch. A quick bite to eat and we are off to our destination. We have 2 friends joining us this weekend, Micheal and Fiona, who will meet us at camp on their way home from picking up their new camper, an Ultimate Explor, and Shaun and Kris, who are bringing their new camper also, A Broadwater Campers forward fold. We arrive at our destination to find Micheal and Fiona waiting for us to find the camp site. So we point our cars and trailers towards the track.

Up the hill and across the flat, we drop into a little tight spot that is just big enough for us all to fit into. While picking the sites,Shaun comes on the UHF to ask which way and before long he is with us. We all go about setting up. I have bought along the new Hillbilly camping cook stand along for its first run. Looking forward to seeing how it performs.

Saturday Comes and not much happens. The girls go for walks, the boys get wood and drink beer. We all swim.

Sunday morning and Micheal and Fiona have to leave today. So we set about having breakfast while they are packing up. I give them a few pointers on the pack up as this is the first time they have set up and packed up their trailer away from the factory. All goes well and they are on the rd soon enough. Shaun, Kris and Myself decide to go for a drive to check out the closed bridge up the rd. Lyndall had some quite book reading time back at camp.

After arriving back at camp, we went for a swim, then Lyndall and i went for a walk with the pups to have a look around. Back at camp, we had another swim and then chilled out for some afternoon nibbles.

After dinner we chilled around the fire, and Kris bought out a port or 2 for Shaun and I. Soon after we retired to bed. Monday was pack up day. I did some pancakes on the fire, they turned out like crap, i stuffed up with something, anyway after this we packed up and we on the rd about 10:30. A quick stop for lunch on the way home and then we were in the door about 3ish. all in all a great weekend in a new spot with some great company.
