So car and trailer are ready to go, so we hit the rd about 8:30am bound for beaudesert. First stop, coffee

Bacon and egg muffin and coffee
From here we had a quick top up of fuel, then on the rd again, followed by a quick stop at Rathdowney

After this we had a good drive. Leaving Urbanville it wasn’t long before we hit the dirt.

Our first sign that there had been a bit of rain out here
After the 30 odd km of dirt we reached our destination, and went about setting up camp. As the family that was to join us later that day, had a soft floor trailer, i left the nice flat area for them, and set ours up on top of the hill. I love our trailer and the fact it can be set up almost anywhere.

Friday we just chilled out, Paul and Kris turned up about 3pm, and i gave them a hand positioning the trailer, remember 2 things with trailers
1) keep the handbrake adjusted right
2)Put chocks under your wheel before unhitching.
As Paul found out when his trailer dived forward into the back of his cruiser and almost jambed his hand. Anyway all good though. Dinner tonight was savory baked potatoes.
Saturday
After a bit of a sleep in, in our new sleeping bags which are so cosy, i arose to a clear day. The billy on, it was now time for breakfast.

Breakfast of Champions

After breakfast we went for a walk down river, had a look at the tank traps and a couple of graves hidden of the rd. Apon returning, we sat around and did nothing, i made some lunch.
After lunch we sat around for a bit, gathered some wood, then played some bocca

Pauls shower tent, didnt like the wind to much

And a picture of the setting sky.

Dinner tonight is leftover from last night, only i am doing dessert for everyone tonight.

Sunday we got up at about 7:30, had our cooked breakfast, packed up and was on the rd by 10:30. Another great weekend with nobody else around.
See you next Time
